Cotswold Outdoor Holborn has teamed up with Victoria Park Harriers & Tower Hamlets AC  to promote a five mile race in east London.

The event, open to all abilities, will see competitors run a traffic-free route through Victoria Park. Four races will be held in total, including a children’s one-mile dash, a junior 2.6-mile run, a five-mile wheelchair race (2.6 miles for junior competitors) and a five-mile run for people aged 18 and over.

The race is now in its fiftieth year and has attracted a large number of participants over recent years. Zee, store manager at Cotswold Outdoor Holborn said he is keen to back local sporting groups: “Working with the local community and promoting outdoor activities is something that we’re passionate about. We’re happy to support the Victoria Park Open 5 race and will continue to offer our support to London-based groups.”

Victoria Park Harriers and Tower Hamlets AC are organising the one-day event on Saturday 7 May, 2016. Participants must register online at vphthac.org.uk/open5 or on the day before 1.30pm. Entry is free for under 18s and wheelchair competitors, and £10/£12 for the five-mile run.

And remember, if you need some extra “fuel” for the race, come and see us in store. We have a good range.

Cotswold Outdoor Holborn is proud to support the Victoria Park Open 5-mile Race on May 7th.
