After an incredible surge in donations, the BMC’s Mend Our Mountains campaign has been extended by a week, so if you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time to play your part in protecting Britain’s peaks and national parks.

Running for two months, the Crowdfunder campaign has called on hill walkers, climbers and lovers of the outdoors everywhere to donate money to help with urgent path repair projects on some of Britain’s most treasured areas of natural beauty.

The campaign has been backed by Sir Chris Bonnington, Doug Scott CBE and Julia Bradbury, as well as having the support of eight national park authorities. And there’s still time for you to get involved.

If there’s a peak that you hold particularly close to your heart, you can donate to a specific national park. From the Lake District to the Yorkshire dales, there are eight national parks that you can support. Or, you can back the UK-wide project to mend Britain’s mountains.
